Nets-Sixers erupts into mayhem over hard Joel Embiid foul - New York Post

Jared Dudley wasn’t going to let the Nets get pushed around any longer.

The forward raced in and bumped 76ers star Joel Embiid, who had just dished out a hard foul on Nets center Jarrett Allen with 7:42 to play in the third quarter of Game 4 of their first-round series at Barclays Center on Saturday. Jimmy Butler returned the favor by shoving Dudley and a fracas broke out underneath the basket with the Nets ahead 67-61.

Philadelphia guard Ben Simmons, in an attempt to hold Dudley back, ended up pushing him down in the crowd as both teams circled around. No punched were thrown.

Dudley and Butler were both ejected and Embiid was given a Flagrant 1.

The bad blood has been brewing in this series. Embiid unleashed a hard elbow to Allen – for which he said he should have been ejected for – in Game 2. Prior to Game 3, Dudley called Simmons “average” in the halfcourt and the guard responded with a dominant 31-point performance.
