Kevin Durant is still a member of the Golden State Warriors. But most national pundits are getting ready for Durant's introductory press conference with the New York Knicks this summer.
At this point, everyone expects Durant and Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving to decline their player options and join forces on the Knicks.
It's not a done deal, though, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith reported Saturday.
Yes. From everything I’ve heard, KD and Kyrie are planning on coming to New York. 95% Chance they say! Only potential hiccup is KD changing his mind pic.twitter.com/9ezL7IEc3y

The idea of Durant changing his mind and staying with the Warriors isn't completely new. On Friday, The Athletic's Sam Amick wrote this:
There’s a recent sense in Warriors circles that maybe he’ll think twice about joining them on this trek across the Bay Bridge, that this recent stretch of domination and fan appreciation might be the kind of thing that convinces him to – cue LeBron James’ personal motto that hasn’t exactly panned out in Laker Land – RWTW (Roll With The Winners).

Let's be honest: Durant probably has no idea what he'll do on July 1. In 2016, he waited until he heard all the pitches in the Hamptons before picking the Warriors. That probably will be the case again this summer.
Just sit back, enjoy the Western Conference finals and a potential NBA Finals, and we'll worry about Durant's free agency when we get there.
For the first time in his career, Damian Lillard has made it out of the second round of the NBA playoffs.
And Blazers star's first trip to the Western Conference finals will be extra special because he will be facing his hometown team, the Golden State Warriors, in the last season at Oracle Arena.
After the Blazers upset the Nuggets in their second-round series to advance, NBC Sports Northwest cameras caught Lillard's family celebrating on the court in Denver. As you can imagine, they were in a really good mood.

Kevin Durant would never admit that he regrets making certain comments.
But the Warriors star probably regrets what he said to Trail Blazers shooting guard CJ McCollum back in July.
While appearing on McCollum's Pull Up podcast, Durant said the Blazers "aren’t going to win a championship" and told McCollum not to "worry about what goes on at the top of things."

Well, now the Blazers will meet the Warriors in the Western Conference finals, so they’re on the same level as the defending champs at the moment. And if Portland can upset Golden State, it will have a chance to win an NBA championship.
So, McCollum and the Blazers are making Durant eat his words.

Durant, who is recovering from a strained right calf, has yet to be cleared to play, but he will be re-evaluated this week.
